Discussion

Initially removed to define the three distinct anomalies defined by the geophysical survey, which turned out to be a single feature (012AD00080). The spit also helped to define Grubenhaus 012AD07032. The material removed was a sandy loam, Munsell colour 10YR 3/3. Finds included a broken flint knife, Anglian and Roman pottery and a coprolite.
